Newcomers and Neighbors of Somerset Hills began in March of 1965 as "Welcome Wagon" and has evolved and thrived since its inception, providing countless area residents with a vehicle for building life-long friendships and participating in fun, interesting events. One of the biggest ways that NNSH has evolved since 1965 is that it no longer serves only new residents.
Five years ago, the Neighbors Club of Bridgewater folded as my youngest headed off to college. My husband and I thought the NNSH group offered lots of interesting activities for empty nesters. After attending one new member coffee, we joined the organization. My husband signed us up for wine tasting while I joined the Day trip and Taste and Talk lunch groups. We have truly enjoyed being members of this group!
I would love for you to check out our interest groups. Just click on the "Interest Group" tab to see some of our current groups. Our groups change depending on the desires of our members. This year a new member introduced Mahjonng to the club and now we have an evening plus a day group playing. Another new member started a mystery book club group. Bring your ideas--they will be most welcomed!
I am looking forward to serve as President of NNSH for the next two years. We have a super group of volunteers who serve various roles on our Board, facilitating trips, clubs, events and more. I am grateful to each of them for their dedication to this wonderful organization!
